A small green jay wood art piece, perfect as a Colombian keepsake for desks, shelves and gift boxes. The carriquí (green jay) is a striking bird of the Colombian Andes.
Handcrafted in pine wood using the intarsia technique. Each color is a separate piece of wood, worked independently and then joined to give the piece its final volume and relief.
- Material: pine wood
- Technique: intarsia
- Measurements: 9 cm high x 6 cm wide x 2 cm deep
- Handmade in Colombia
Los Maderos de Rubén is a Colombian woodworking studio that handcrafts each piece in pine using intarsia, a technique in which individually cut and colored pieces of wood are fitted together like a mosaic to create relief and depth.
